Dance Instructor required by Sport 4 Life UK

Sport 4 Life are looking for a highly skilled Dance Instructor to deliver their Us Girls project - a structured programme of dance classes that aims to support women aged 16-25 years old to get active. Classes will focus on providing women with a medium-high impact cardio-vascular workout, while simultaneously having fun learning dance moves in a group setting. The project will consist of a mix of some or all of hip-hop classes, street dance classes, bollywood, salsa-cise classes, and zumba classes depending on the speciality and expertise of the chosen instructor.

Classes will be delivered across the city of Birmingham in a range of school and community venues, and will take place at weekends, evenings, and during the day. The newly appointed Dance Instructor will be employed on a part-time basis (18-20 hours per week) on a 12 month fixed–term contract from June 1st 2011 to May 31st 2012, and will earn a salary in the range of £16,000-£18,000 pro rata per annum depending on experience.

Sport 4 Life are looking for an exceptional candidate, who has an infectious passion and enthusiasm for dance instruction, who has top quality dance instruction abilities (with an expertise in the class types listed above), and who has an excellent track record as a community dance instructor. They are looking for a candidate who can engage with and relate to young women, and who is up for the challenge of delivering dance coaching in inner city Birmingham!
