Emerge is collaborating with Imagineer Productions to bring you Carnival - the meaning of mas with guest speaker Brian MacFarlane.
International award-winning master designer and carnival mas maker Brian MacFarlane joins Imagineer Productions in a unique collaboration leading up to the world premiere of Godiva Awakes* in 2012. Trinidad’s MacFarlane is no stranger to collaborative ventures, as a self-taught, self-made artist best known for his work as Carnival Designer, Artistic Director, Band Leader and five times successive winner of Carnival Band of the Year. On invitation from Imagineer, MacFarlane presents his lifetime involvement, passion and contribution to preserving and developing the tradition and art of Carnival.
Come along to share your creative ideas, meet potential collaborators or just meet people from other artforms. This event will be hosted at Ellen Terry Building, Coventry University, Jordan Well, Coventry City Centre.
