Dancescape are running two professional development sessions this Autumn – for artists and teachers in Coventry, Solihull and Warwickshire. The sessions, led by dance artist and choreographer Clare Palethorpe will provide a fresh approach to choreography with young people. Clare will look at ways that leaders can help young people create their own work and encourage them to think innovatively about dance. This session would be suitable for teachers or artists leading GCSE, BTEC or A level dance courses, or leading sessions with Youth Dance Companies.
When: Tuesday 16th and Thursday 18th November 2010
Where: Tuesday 16th at Stratford-upon-Avon College, 4.30 – 7.00pm
Thursday 18th at Coventry Performing Arts Service Studios, Coventry, 4.00 – 6.30pm
Cost: FREE
There are 20 places for each session on a first come, first served basis. The cost of these sessions is being subsidised by Youth Dance Activity Funds provided by Youth Dance England. To register for a place, please email Hayley at heguest@solihull.gov.uk or phone on 0121 704 6309.
