DanceXchange Placement Opportunity – Programme & Marketing Assistant

DanceXchange is offering a unique placement opportunity for a bright and motivated recent arts graduate interested in embarking on a career in the arts.

Salary: £15,000 per annum
Fixed-term contract, 12 months full time, from January 2011

Based in the centre of Birmingham, DanceXchange (dx) is a power house of dance with excellence, innovation, education and inclusion at its heart – and, together with Birmingham Hippodrome and Birmingham Royal Ballet, is part of the largest dance partnership in Britain. dx is also Co-Producer of International Dance Festival Birmingham, one of the largest dance festivals in the world.

Part of the DCMS Jerwood Creative Bursaries Scheme, this new role will provide excellent practical hands-on experience of managing a theatre and marketing a varied programme of work in our venue’s tenth-anniversary year. Candidates must be reliable, responsible, conscientious and committed, with a high standard of literacy and numeracy, good IT skills, basic administration skills, and customer service experience – as well as an enthusiasm for the arts.
