Applications welcomed for a BBC Dance Fellow with Warwick Arts Centre - extended deadline

Having been shortlisted by the BBC, Warwick Arts Centre is currently welcoming applications from male recent dance graduates and emerging artists for a BBC Dance Fellow during 2011 and 2012, to be supported by the BBC Performing Arts Fund.

Full details of the activity planned as part of the Dance Fellowship are attached.

Interested applicants should:
• Be a recent dance graduate or someone with equivalent years of practical dance training/an emerging dance artist/professional.
• Be male
• Have an interest in dance performance and choreography processes
• Have dance performance experience, either as part of training, independently or commercially
• Knowledge of contemporary dance techniques
• Possess or be willing to undertake a CRB Disclosure at Enhanced Level
• Be willing to work alongside and be mentored by 3-4 dance professionals for the duration of the Fellowship
• Be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of people; children through to fellow professionals
• Be able/willing to travel to locations in Coventry, Solihull and Warwickshire by own or public transport

The successful Fellow will receive a per diem of £20 for every day they are at Warwick Arts Centre and their travel and accommodation will be covered also (to a maximum of £60 for each visit). The Fellowship will consist of 38 full days and 6 evenings at Warwick Arts Centre between October 2011 and July 2012.
