Temporary Education Posts at Warwick Arts Centre

Warwick Arts Centre, on the campus of Warwick University, is one of the largest multi artform venues in the UK. The Arts Centre’s programme is avowedly contemporary and international in scope. During University term times, the Arts Centre programmes music, theatre, live art, dance, film, spoken word, comedy, opera, family events and visual art in its 1300 seater concert hall (Butterworth Hall), 574 seat theatre, 200 seat black box studio, 200 seat cinema, large gallery and new space for creative exploration, the Helen Martin Studio. The Arts Centre attracts audiences of more than 200,000 annually to more than 2,000 events.

The Education Department works predominantly in the formal education sector across all art forms and all ages. We support the artistic programme of the Arts Centre through workshops, theatre days, tours and multi-arts activities, as well as weekend and holiday activities for young people. We also run large-scale projects in schools, both primary and secondary and across all art forms, from a 3-year dance development plan to a one-term theatre-making project and everything in between. In 2010/11, 44,326 contacts were made through sessions with over 15,000 young people, organised and managed by the Education Department and facilitated by a team of freelance artists and arts educators.

We are currently recruiting for two 8 month contracts within the Education Department:
